Slide projector with high power lamps esp. for commercial use - has separate fans with nozzles directed at oblique angles onto both sides of slide being projected

The slide projector has a slide holder in the air flow from a cooling fan. The fan (8) has outlet nozzles (11) directed at an oblique angle onto the front and the rear of the slide (13) being projected. The nozzles direct concentrated high-speed air flows onto both sides of the slide. Pref. the angles of the nozzles are such that pronounced turbulence is created when the air impinges on the slide. Pref. the slide holder is placed in an open channel (3) in the housing (1) enclosing the optical path in the projection. The air flows are directed into the housing and at least part of the air leaves over the outside of the channel. Separate fans, esp. of the flat radial type may be provided for the two sides of the slide. USE/ADVANTAGE - May be used for LCD panel projector. Ensures highly effective cooling but is very compact.
