Heating load distributor for single-pipe space heating system - calculates heat emission from pipe by operation on signal from special temp. sensor in pocket of heater supply valve

The single pipe (1) passing through the ceiling (2) and floor (3) of each storey feeds hot fluid via a three-way valve (5) to a heater (4) equipped with a distributor (6) comprising a calculator, display device and power supply battery. Three temp. sensors (7-9) measure respectively the heater surface temp., the room temp. and the temp. of the pipe at the thermostatic valve. The last-mentioned sensor supplies a signal for special measurement of the quantity of heat emitted by the pipe. ADVANTAGE - The feed pipe temp. and quantity of heat are measurable for each individual heater, with only one additional feed pipe sensor required.
