An electronic digital circuit is provided for the multiplication and division of numbers that are entered in decimal form and are then converted into four bit binary code for processing. The multiplication process is based upon interactive addition and the division process upon iterative subtraction. A gating circuit is used that includes only two shift registers (50a, 50c) for decimal point handling. One of these (50c) is used for both multiplication and division results. The shift register can be reset by a single key operation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simplified decimal point processing.
