Aq. impregnating agent for gaskets comprising an activated silicone micro-emulsion. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsn. is used to impregnate gaskets such as cylinder head gaskets of internal combustion engines to increase their water tightness and resistance to moisture, esp. to renovate faulty gaskets in situ. The silicone micro-emulsions have excellent impregnating performance and penetrate well into the gasket. They can be applied to the external faces of the gasket e.g. with a soft brush or pipette or they can e.g. be introduced into the cooling water system of an engine to seal faulty gaskets in situ. The compsns. are solvent-free and environmentally safe.
