A film processor (1) has an input station (31) for input of client information and an exit station (39) where the prints and the film are placed in an envelope (37). A sensor (33) detects the client information on an order envelope (40) and sends a corresp. image signal to a data processor (34) connected to a printer (35) for reproducing this information data on the print envelope. Pref. a transport mechanism takes the print envelope from a feed stack, conveys it to the printer and then to a filling station. The print envelope has a non-fibrous area onto which a self-adhesive tape adheres through a window in the envelope flap. ADVANTAGE - Information on order envelope is transferred to print envelope to obviate need for inserting latter into former.
