The swivel arm is driven in the machine cycle and has a gripper system of a tiltable finger, coupled to a driven control shaft, and a gripper bearing, gripping a stationary sheet in the region of front marks at the front edge. The gripper bearing in a guide on the swivel arm is movable in the machine work cycle by a cam drive. The cam drive consists on a cam roll, mounted on the gripper bearing and a curve synchronously moving with the cylinder, but in opposite sense. The cam drive holds the gripper bearing on a circular path on the swivel track from the sheet retention up to its deposition. Then it shifts the sheet radially on the cylinder w.r.t. the swivel axis.
