摘要 The patent describes a procedure for altering the stance of a vehicle with an active spring-damper system during travel, as a result of air pressure measurements taken around it. Its speed, steering angle, longitudinal acceleration, transverse acceleration and floating angle are used to determine the actual stance and for every possible travel condition, an optimum stance is stored in a micro-computer. Thus, actual and optimal stances are compared at any time and actuators will change the spring-damper properties to correct the actual stance. The pressure measurements to ascertain pitch, roll and ground clearance are taken at three positions on the car floorpan, two near the front axle and one near the centre of the rear axle.
