<p>A mild, substantially colorless shampoo composition comprising: (a) from about 2 % to about 20 %, by weight, of an alkyl ethoxylated sulfate anionic surfactant having an average degree of ethoxylation of at least about 2.0; (b) from about 1 % to about 15 % of an amphoteric surfactant selected from the group consisting of betaine surfactant, imidazoline surfactants, aminoalkanoate surfactants, and iminodialkanoate surfactants, and mixtures thereof; (c) from about 0.5 % to about 10 %, by weight of an N-acyl amino acid surfactant; (d) at least about 0.05 %, by weight of the composition, of carbonyl-containing perfume compounds; and (e) water; wherein said shampoo composition is substantially free of alkyl sulfate anionic surfactant, free primary amines and ammonium ions, and amide foam boosters, and said shampoo composition has an absorbance value at 440 nm in a 1.0 cm path length of no greater than about 0.030 after storage at 38 °C for 30 days.</p> |
