A device for fixing a rotary body (1) in such a manner that a rotary shaft (3) such as a motor shaft and a power transmission shaft is firmly fixed to a rotary body (1) such as a gear and a pulley, and the rotary body can slip when a strong shock acts upon the rotary body (1). A square groove (4) is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the above-described rotary shaft or in the inner surface of the mounting hole (2) of the rotary body (1). A pair of key members (5) and (6) each having a tapered surface (7) are inserted into this square groove (4) to be held adjacent to each other in the axial direction. Then, a clamping bolt (8) is screwed into the inner key member (6) through the outer key member (5). The key members (5) and (6) are clamped to each other by the head (9) of this clamping bolt (8), and the both key members are pushed outward by being guided by the above-described tapered surfaces (7). Then, one of the key members is urged against the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft (3) and the other key member is urged against the inner surface of the mounting hole (2) of the rotary body (1). Each of the key members (5) and (6) is fitted onto only one of the rotary body and the rotary shaft, so that, when the strong shock acts upon the rotary body, it slips on the rotary shaft to thereby prevent the members from being damaged. |
