A temperature control system (18) and method for maintaining the temperature of air within an air pressure controlled enclosure (10) at a desired temperature (Troom-setpoint). The system uses an energy flow model to determine the temperature to which the air supplied to the enclosure (10) must be heated to attain the desired temperature within the enclosure. The energy flow model determines the desired supply air temperature based on the temperature (Ts) and flow rate (CFMs) of the supply air, the current temperature (Tr) of the air in the enclosure, the heat transfer rate within the enclosure, and the temperature and flow rate of make-up air (16) entering the enclosure (10). |
