The heater module (5a,5b,5c) has an essentially straight plastic tube secured in the water way, for the reception of a heating element or coil (50a,50b,50c) and has connection stubs projecting laterally at both ends. Turbulence spiral elements (52) are provided at the inner wall of the heating coil reception tube. The spiral elements (52) interrupt the axial flow lines of the water flowing through the heater and deflect it in to twisted and cross flows. The two insulation sections (4,6) are designed as flexible tubes, which respectively are coupled pressure tight with the connection stubs of the heating module(s). ADVANTAGE - Reduces constructional and operating costs, with at least compatible or even improved power output.
