Stabilising system for vehicle rear seats - uses stabilising beam which locks into bushes in vehicle bodywork

The stabilising system is for split folding rear seat back rests in a vehicle. The horizontal stabilising beams (6,7) of the backrest sections (16,17) are secured in the outward direction to the vehicle bodywork by bushes (11,12). The beams are secured in the inward direction by locking together. Vertical stabilising beams (8,9) are locked into the bushes (13,14) in the lower part of the vehicle. The locking action is achieved by a series of bolts (1-5) which make positive fit connections with their respective bushes.
