GLOW-STARTER WITH TWO BIMETALS

The invention concerns the construction of glow-starters for fluorescent tubes, preventing the repeated starting of burnt-out tubes. The first (3) and second bimetal (4) with greater thermal persistence are connected in series. The first bimetal (3) is connected with the first feed (1), and the second bimetal (4) with the second feed (2). With an increase in temperature the first bimetal (3) switches on the circuit of fluorescent tubes, while the second bimetal (4) turns the circuit off with a rise in temperature. The second bimetal (4) acts as a thermal fuse and after several failed starts shuts the circuit down. The second bimetal (4) can be equipped with an insulation layer (7). Between the first bimetal (3) and second bimetal (4) there can a conducting bridge (6), which is insulated and fixed in the space between the first bimetal (3) and second bimetal (4).<IMAGE>
