PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording sheet having high surface smoothness, excellent sophisticated feeling of picture quality, high ink absorption amount and absorption speed and a method for manufacturing the same. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recording sheet comprises a recording layer at least on one side surface of a base sheet in such a manner that the layer is formed of binder containing 40wt.% pigment and 60wt.% or less binder, 10 point mean roughness of a surface of the layer is 5mum or less and air permeability as recording sheet is 1,000sec or less. |
