PURPOSE:To obtain a concentrated propolis extract readily edible, excellent in hygienic property and useful for food, etc., by extracting specific propolis powder with ethanol and concentrating the extract. CONSTITUTION:A natural propolis is sorted by sight inspection to remove impurities such as metal, stone and wood dust and simultaneously this natural propolis is frozen and pulverized to afford propolis powder and metallic powder such as iron powder contained in propolis powder is removed with a strong magnet. A first-class ethanol is added to this propolis powder and this propolis powder is mixed with the ethanol to extract the propolis and further, this propolis extract is put in an evaporation-condenser and ethanol is evaporated and concentrated to provide the objective extract. |
