<p>PURPOSE: To enable bones in the palm side or in the back side of hand and wrist to redintegrate by providing a wrist support with forearm anterior and posterior plates arranged to the both sides of forearm, each pole brace apart from and accessing to the median surface arranged to the both sides of forearm, and a hand brace connected pivottally to this. CONSTITUTION: A wrist support 10 consists of a forearm anterior plate 14 and a forearm posterior plate 16 which have a slender shape of plate and are arranged to the both sides of wearer's wrist. A pair of pole braces 28, 26 are prepared to the forearm anterior plate 14 arranged in front of forearm against the median surface of forearm. A hand brace 44 which applies a downward pressure selectively to the central bone of hand is connected pivotally to the proximal end of the pole braces 26, 28 and arranged adjacent to the back surface of wearer's hand. A turning motion of wrist is made possible to control by the pivotal connection of the hand brace 44 with the pole braces 28, 26 making its axis as a center. Still more, the pole braces 28, 26 have the same rigidity and strength as those of the anterior plate 14 and the posterior plate 16, and are made of a lightweight plastic material.</p> |
