SEPARATION OF COATING METAL

PURPOSE:To reduce the inclusion of a coating metal in the melt base metal at the time of removing the coating metal from a metallic piece formed by plating the surface of a base metal with the coating metal having a lower m.p. than the base metal. CONSTITUTION:A coating metal is separated from a metallic piece 4 formed by plating the surface of a base metal with the coating metal having a lower m.p. than the base metal. In this case, the piece 4 is placed in a heating furnace 7 and uniformly and directly heated in a reducing atmosphere by the combustion flame at a temp. higher than the m.p. of the coating metal and lower than that of the base metal to vaporize the coating metal from the piece 4, and the vaporized coating metal is discharged outside the furnace along with the waste combustion gas.
