The invention relates to a dry hair product which is characterised in that it consists of a powder to be applied directly to the hair and/or the scalp and which consists of polyamide filaments which are finely divided and dyed and which exhibit electrostatic properties of mutual repulsion. It also relates to a process for the manufacture of this product according to which polyamide threads are finely divided in order to obtain the powder, this powder is dry mixed with at least one powdered dye, and the dyed powder is transferred to an electrostatic tank.
