PURPOSE:To perform a stable temperature control of a head even at any ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION:An image density detector 40 detects the image density based on data for ones in printing action among nozzles which are driven simultaneously. Different driving pulse length data are stored in first and second memories 38 and 39. A data selector 37 selects pulse length data from one of the memories based on the detected image density. The selecting action and data are changed depending upon the ambient temperatures and head temperatures. Driving pulses of a head are produced based on the selected data by a print pulse length setting counter 36 and a printing driving pulse generator 34. |
