A combined drinks tray and shade comprises a base member (10) in the form of a tray having a shade (12) in the form of a miniature umbrella (14) mounted on a articulated shaft (16) removably located in a socket in said base. The shade (12) is adjustable with the movement of the sun, allowing the tray to be shaded over extended periods. The base (10) may be thermally insulating or may contain freezable/chillable material, and may comprise a sealed unit enclosing a vacuum or thermally insulating material, or said freezable/chillable material. Alternatively, the base may comprise an openable casing adapted to receive a separate insulating or freezable/chillable element. |
