PURPOSE:To prevent the self-hybridization of a specimen nucleic acid and improve the detection sensitivity of a gene detection process. CONSTITUTION:A nucleic acid used as a specimen is hybridized with a nucleic acid probe containing a sequence complementary to a part of the objective gene sequence to be detected. The hybridization is carried out by adding a nucleic acid chain composed of a sequence complementary to the sequence which is not complementary to the nucleic acid probe in the objective gene sequence together with the nucleic acid probe. |
