<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the rigidity of a caliper body and dispose pistons in the caliper body always vertically to the rotor face. CONSTITUTION:A caliper body 1 and end plates 2 are connected by bolts 3, and cylinders 5 are formed of cylinder holes 1c and the end plates 2. An inner pipe 10 is cast-covered in the caliper body 1, and the opposed cylinder holes 1c are communicated with each other through the inner pipe 10. A piston 8 with a pad 7 connected thereto is provided in each cylinder hole 1c, and the piston 8 is disposed in such a way as to be vertical to the rotor face 4a and to be movable forward/backward vertically. At the braking time, the pads 7 are integrally friction-engaged with a disc rotor 4.</p> |
