PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature rise of hot water from exceeding a specified value by switching over the operation of a circulation pump from continuous mode to intermittent mode when it is determined that the heat generation of the circulation pump is attributable to the rise in the hot water after the bath water temperature has exceeded a setting value and a heat insulation heater is turned off. CONSTITUTION:A bath water purifying device is designed to circulate and purify the bath water in a bath tub by way of a circulation passage which includes a filter device or a heat insulation heater by driving a circulation pump 8. In this case, a memory device 2 stores a setting temperature of hot water set by a user by means of a hot water temperature setting instrument. A hot water temperature detection device 3 detects the temperature of hot water in a bath tub. A differential temperature determinant device 4 determines a differential temperature between a detected temperature and setting temperature and outputs an ON signal when the differential temperature is within the range of a specified plus value. A differential temperature stability determinant 5 determines whether or not the output of the ON signal continues only for a specified time. As a result, when the signal is continued, a circulation pump drive device 9 switches over the operation of the circulation pump from continuous operation mode to intermittent operation mode, thereby reducing the heat produced by the circulation pump 8.
