ARGININE DERIVATIVE, PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION THEREOF AND ITS USE IN PEPTIDE SYNTHESIS

33 N.alpha.-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl-NG-trityl-arginine, a new protected arginine derivative, and its use in peptide syntheses are described. The new compound can be prepared by a three step process, via formation of N.alpha.-trityl-NG-trityl-arginine, selective mono-deprotection of said intermediate, and introduction of the fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl group on the amino function.
