PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition comprising a specific polyallyl carbonate, an oligomer and a diallyl cyclohexane dicarboxylate, etc., in a specific ratio, giving polymers low in their polymerization volume contraction, excellent in weather resistance, impact resistance and transparency, and useful for spectacle lenses, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) 5-80wt.% of an alkylene glycol polyallyl carbonate of formula I [(x) is 1-10; Y is organic residue derived from a 2-12C polyol having of (x+1) OH groups], (B) 20-70wt.% of an oligomer having repeating units of formula II (A is group of formula III, etc.; Z is an organic residue derived from a 2-30C polyol having (x+1) OH groups), and (C) 0-50wt.% of a monomer such as diallyl 1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylate, diallyl 4-cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylate or diallyl endate, and has a viscosity of 50-20000cp at 30 deg.C before cured. |
