PURPOSE: To reduce the production cost of a paperboard package and to facilitate recycling by sealing a paperboard food package wherein polymer coating is applied only to the inside surface of a package as a barrier. CONSTITUTION: In a package structure, the upper panel 21 of a closure is fixed to the exposed end parts of a vertically bent end wall 13 and a front wall 15 by heat-sealing the inside surfaces of upper flaps 22, 23 to the outside surfaces of a rear wall 12 and the end wall 13 adjacent to the flaps. The inside surfaces of the upper flaps 22, 23 are coated with a high temp. curtain of a polymer. However, the outside surfaces of the end wall 13 and front wall 15 of a tray are not subjected to high temp. coating. |
