PURPOSE:To obtain a ratio controller which enables simplifying the combustion appara tus and which is applicable to smaller burners by a method wherein the opening of a fuel valve is controlled in proportion to variation of the load on the thermal equip ment and the opening of an air damper is controlled according to tangential characteristics in which given functions are programmed in digital values. CONSTITUTION:The subject relates to a device which, when a burner is in operation, controls the output of a fuel valve-controlling manipulator for the valve opening in response to and in proportion to an input signal representing variation of the load on the thermal equipment. This controller controls the output of an air dampercontrolling manipulator for the damper opening in accordance with tangential characteristics in which given functions are programmed in digital values. This controller varies the opening of the fuel valve in the range from the position for a minimum combustion to the position for a maximum combustion and, on the basis of any of O2 CO2, NOx, and CO in exhaust gas measured at each point independently or on the basis of two or more of these items, sets the opening of the air damper at the most favorable position. This method enables simplifying a combustion apparatus and a fuel-air ratio controller applicable to smaller burners can be obtained. |
