REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a reversible thermal recording material in which a transparent temperature range is increased to a high temperature side, and which has excellent transparentopaque high contrast and excellent environmental preservability. CONSTITUTION:A recording material comprises a heat sensitive layer which contains a resin base material and an organic low molecular weight substance dispersed in the base material and reversibly varies to transparency and opaque depending upon a temperature in such a manner that the layer contains higher saturated fatty acid containing 23-32C as the substance as a main ingredient and mixture eutectic series of the fatty acid and the other higher fatty acid. Further effects are obtained by setting a content of the higher acid to 60-90wt.% and setting the other acid to saturated dibasic acid having alkyl group including 15-29C.
