REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a reversible thermal recording material having a wide transparentizing temperature range and being easily controlled to be heated in the case of recording-erasing and a method for manufacturing the same. CONSTITUTION:A reversible thermal recording material comprises a heat sensitive layer formed of an organic low molecular weight substance and resin base material in which transparency is reversibly varied according to a temperature in such a manner that the substance has a phase isolated structure which is dispersed in the base material and a structural period of the phase isolation is 1.5mum or more. A method for manufacturing the material comprises the steps of evaporating 90% or more of solvent in the heat sensitive layer forming coating film, and then heat treating it at 140 deg.C or higher.
