The chair includes a base (7) having pedals (72) pressing on magnetic contacts to control movements of a microscope (2).It includes an infra-red transmitter (8) pressing against a receiver (9) coupled to control box (4) which controls functions of microscope. The control pedal (72) is connected to the transmitter (8) and transfers a signal (82) to the receiver (9),and this signal is an infra-red beam. USE-Used by surgeons for treating cataracts.
