The energy conversion process involves transforming thermal energy into electricity after concentrating EM radiation emitted from a surface at one temperature to a higher temperature on a receiving surface. The direct conversion involves using a combination of Peltier and Seebeck effects in the same thermo-electric circuit. Heat normally lost during the Seebeck process is recovered. USE/ADVANTAGE - Direct conversion of low density heat energy into electricity with theoretical efficiency near unity e.g. to recover heat energy from low density sources such as lake or ocean.
