PURPOSE: To attain overall digitization and to enhance the accuracy of control by providing a drive controller which generates digital conversion signals and a signal having a duty cycle and modulated in a digital pulse width for each phase of an armature, in response to an input command signal, and others. CONSTITUTION: A brushless three-phase DC motor 10 is equipped with a plurality of Hall effect sensors 14 for sensing the position of an armature thereof, and output signals of the sensors are inputted to a drive controller 18 so that two- state Hall effect element signals specifying the time of generation of conversion signals be generated therein. The drive controller 18 receives an input speed signal RX as an input from a CPU 16, generates six conversion signals in one set which operate together to rotate the armature, and allots two of these conversion signals to each phase of the motor 10. Moreover, the drive controller 18 generates a PWM signal in response to command data, and based on this signal, a switching signal is delivered from a drive logic unit 50 to a three-phase bridge circuit 26. |
