TAPE TENSION CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To provide the controller controlling a tape tension by giving a load to a supply reel corresponding to a tape tension changing in response to a winding diameter so that an adjustment range of the load given to the supply reel is wide and a prescribed tape tension is kept regardless of the tape winding diameter. CONSTITUTION:A brake pad 1 is made of a brake member and fitted to one end of a brake arm 4. The brake arm 4 is made of an elastic material to exert a proper tension to the brake pad 1 to be pressed into contact onto a brake face of a brake disk 2. A supply reel base 5 is fitted turnably to a rotary shaft 22 fitted to a chassis and an integrated brake disk 2 is fitted to the supply reel base 5. The face of the brake is formed with a plane almost perpendicular to the rotary shaft 22. The surface of the brake face is processed smooth and the brake pad 1 always slides smoothly when the brake disk 2 is rotated.
