<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of an arrester by connecting an arrester as a line protection arrester, of which discharge voltage is lower than the discharge voltage of an arrester provided in an apparatus, with a line. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 7 is connected between high-tension and low tension distribution lines 1 and 2 and a load is connected with the secondary side of the transformer and provided with power, while an arrester 11 is connected between the high-voltage side and low-voltage side of the transformer 7. Also, an 12 is connected between the high tension distribution line 1 and overhead ground wires 3, 4 connected with a ground wire 5. The discharge voltage of the line protection arrester 12 is set lower than that of the arrester 11. Then, the surge voltage of thunder generated in the high-tension distribution line 1 flows from the line protection arrester 12 into the ground wire 5 without entering the arrester 11. Thus, the failure of an apparatus by the breakage of the arrester is prevented.</p> |
