PURPOSE:To improve cost effectiveness, and simultaneously, to efficiently deal with the increase of the conditions of image formation by constituting an image forming device of absolute minimum LUTs (look-up tables). CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device to form an image by scanning output light from a laser diode 109 modulated in accordance with image data on a photosensitive body, it is characterized by being provided with two LUTs 105/106 which convert the corresponding image data into a specified value capable of being rewritten from the outside and corresponding to the conditions of the image formation, and a CPU 102 which controls so as to execute data conversion by using the LUT of one side and rewrite the data table of the LUT of the other side into the table corresponding to the conditions of the image formation to be executed next at the time of image forming operation in the case of the continuous execution of the image formation different in the conditions of the image formation. |
