The boot has a front inner plate which is connected to a lever (10), on the back of the leg, by a cord (9). The end of this is joined to a slider with a threaded hole (15) into which an adjustor screw (14), through the lever, is screwed. The threaded hole is crossed by a smooth cylindrical hole (18) opening on either side of the slider. This forms oblong spaces (18C,18D), on either side of the threaded hole's axis (X,X'), which allow the slider to rock and release it from the screw. It is moved by pulling the cord.
