PURPOSE:To provide a fluorescent lighting device for easily carrying out various dimming not only for a single lamp but also for a multiple lamps, and for reducing cost by means of simple circuit structure. CONSTITUTION:The number (n) groups of fluorescent lamps FL-1-FL-n, inductors VI-1-VI-n forming a series resonance circuit, and capacitors C1-Cn are connected in parallel to one another, to the output terminal of a fluorescent lamp inverter device 23 with a commercial power source 21 serving as an input, and for outputting the high frequency current of stable frequency (fo). The inductors VI-1-VI-n comprises current-limiting coils L1-Ln and coils M1-Mn for control, which are provided near the current-limiting coils, while a control circuit 24 for controlling the d.c. current flowing in the coils for control, is provided. A variable inductor is thus provided, with which the inductance of the current- limiting coils L1-Ln can be changed. |
