<p>PURPOSE:To provide the brake mechanism with simple structure suitable for miniaturization and high performance of the magnetic recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:A brake plate 930 is fitted to a mode changeover plate 910 by fitting a guide projection 914 to a guide groove 931 prolonged in the slide direction of the mode changeover plate 910. The brake plate 930 is provided with brake shoes 940, 945 opposite to drums 931, 941 of reel gears 930,940. A driven pin 952 of a brake lever 950 is inserted to a cam groove 917 of the mode changeover plate 910, and a rotary shaft 951 is fitted to a chassis base. A soft brake spring 970 is stretched between the brake plate 930 and the chassis base and a main brake spring 960 is stretched between the brake plate 930 and the brake lever 950.</p> |
