<p>PURPOSE:To present information of an idle remote machine to a user by displaying the use conditions of remote machines joined to a network on the display picture of each remote machine. CONSTITUTION:A display device 101, a keyboard 102 for input of characters and numerical values, a mouse device 103 for selection of two-dimensional coordinates, and a central processing unit 104 are provided. When a remote machine being at a short distance from the place of work is used by another user, a person who desires the use of a remote machine requests another user, which uses the remote machine at present, to open the command (broadcast signal display command) which displays the use conditions of remote machines. Then, a remote machine use condition table is displayed on the display device. Since columns of idle remote machines in the table are blank in this case because a broadcast signal is not sent to these remote machines, the person who desires the use of a remote machine recognizes the places of remote machines which can be used at present.</p> |
