PURPOSE:To obtain superior noise resistance and widen the application range of the structure of a body to be measured by arranging a 1st optical element of a rotation-side transmission unit in the circumferential direction of the rotary body and selectively arranging plural fixed-side reception units in the circumferential direction of a fixed side. CONSTITUTION:Each fixed-side reception unit 6 receives a light signal sent by the light emitting element 5a of the rotation-side transmission unit 4 by a light receiving element 7b, converts it into a digital signal, and outputs various quantity measurement digital signals to the fixed-side processing unit 8. Then the various quantity measurement digital signals are made parallel, and 0Red and processed. Further, the transmission and reception of the various quantity measurement light signals are performed while a 1st optical element 5 and a 2nd optical element 7 are set opposite each other, and only one optical element 5 is required. Then the rotation side transmission unit 4 updates the channel each time a trigger signal is received.
