PURPOSE:To make a guidance to an optimum final guidance point for a set destination. CONSTITUTION:Information on maps, a guidance, a search, registered places, etc., and route information are stored in a storage part 10 and 24, and processing for the guidance is performed according to the information. A route calculation part 22 is equipped with a guidance point setting part 22a which sets a guidance point after a destination is set and a route guidance control part 26 is equipped with a display scale determination part 26a which determines a display scale for displaying the destination and final guidance point on the same screen so as to provide the destination and guidance point setting function of an arithmetic part 20. Once the destination is set, the final guidance point corresponding to the destination is set according to the registered place information and the destination and final guidance point are displayed. Whether the destination and final guidance point are at the same position or different positions can be confirmed on the screen, and the final guidance point is set on the basis of the registered place information to make a guidance to the best final guidance point for the destination. |
