PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality hard copy by incorporating a specified compound in a nonphotosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:This silver halide color photographic sensitive material has 3 kinds of different color-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers each containing cyan, magenta, and yellow dye forming couplers and at least one nonphotosensitive layer on a support, and the nonphotosensitive layer contains at least one kind of substantially colorless and color nondeveloping compound represented by formula I, and this photosensitive material is exposed by a scanning exposure method having an exposure time of <10<-4>sec or less, and then color developed. This compound has a molecular weight of 390 or larger. In formula I, X is H, OH, amino, or the like; each of R<11> and R<12> is same as X or alkyl, aryl, or the like, and when X is II, R'' is H, amino, or the like: and R<13> is H, halogen, sulfo, carboxy, or the like.
