PURPOSE:To maintain the operation of power consuming facilities in a plant without a trouble by a method wherein the maximum demand of the plant is limited not to exceed a contract demand agreed with a power utility company. CONSTITUTION:For instance, signal processors M1-M5 for demand control are provided for electric furnaces EF1-EF5 and a power consuming facility EL1 which are demand control objects in a plant and pulse signals are inputted to a control means 3 through the processors. If it is judged that a total power consumption exceeds one of the respective combination judging lines exceeding a reference line, power supplies at least to the demand control object power consuming facilities corresponding to that combination judging line are reduced or cut off. With this constitution, even if the total demand fluctuates, it can be adjusted and limited below a contract demand with a high accuracy. |
