MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To selectively implement reversible reproduction or one-side reproduction by adding a circuit to a reversible reproduction exclusive magnetic recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:Reversible reproduction or one-side reproduction is selected by adding a simple control circuit to a reversible exclusive mechanism. A transistor (TR) 6 used to activate a clutch controlling a motor driving the magnetic recording and reproducing device is provided and the TR is controlled by a running direction detection switch 1 and a reversible/one-side reproduction selection switch 21. One terminal of the running direction detection switch is connected to an input terminal of the TR and the other terminal of the running direction detection switch 1 is connected to the switch via a reversible/one- side reproduction selection switch 7.
