Novel isoindolinone derivative of formula (I), in a racemic form or in the form of its enantiomers, its preparation and pharmaceutical compositions containing same. In general formula (I), R is an optionally substituted alkyl radical. The novel product of formula (I) is useful in as an anxiety-relieving, hypnotic, anticonvulsant, antiepileptic and myorelaxant therapeutic agent.
