PURPOSE:To make the control and the report of the abnormality of a CATV transmission line to a remote location possible by automatically connecting a CATV broadcasting center and the remote location from the CATV broadcasting center when the abnormality of the CATV transmission line is generated. CONSTITUTION:A general public line MODEM 3a provided with a synchronous communication mode is connected to the central processing unit 1 of a supervisory and controlling device 8 and also a MODEM control circuit 5 for controlling the state of the general public line MODEM by receiving the buzzer contact point signals of an alarm display panel 4 is provided. Thus, when the abnormality of the CATV transmission line is generated, the CATV broadcasting center and the remote location are automatically connected by a general public line and the control and the report of the abnormality of the CATV transmission line can be received at the remote location.
