PURPOSE:To form an image of high image quality on a photosensitive body and to generate an accurate electric signal corresponding to external image information with a solid-state image pickup element array by welding and fixing the lengthwise center part of a long-sized lens array to a housing by an ultrasonic welding method. CONSTITUTION:The lens array 3 is fixed to the housing 4 by fusing and uniting the frame-shaped casing 7 of the lens array 3 and the housing 4 by ultrasonic vapor deposition. Consequently, the lens array 3 is fixed to the housing 4 extremely tightly. Further, the lens array 3 is fixed to the housing 4 by the ultrasonic vapor deposition only at the lengthwise center part of the long-sized lens array 3, and both the ends are free. Consequently, even if external heat is applied to the housing 4 and lens array 3 to generate thermal stress between the both because of a difference in coefficient of thermal expansion, the lens array 3 is never curved largely by the thermal stress. |
