PURPOSE:To prevent the break and the omission of the thin lines by applying an operational expression suited to the vertical, horizontal and oblique thin lines. CONSTITUTION:The data corrected by an arithmetic circuit 20 are compared with the prescribed threshold value through a binarizing circuit 21 and then binarized. The binarized data are outputted as the correction data. Meanwhile the circuit 20 selects an MTF (space frequency transmission characteristic) correcting operational expression based on a selection signal S1 serving as the correction data on a picture element B of a line Ln-1 set before a noted picture element E and a selection signal S2 serving as the correction data on a picture element D preceding the element E. |
