PURPOSE:To provide an image forming material and image forming method which imparts high sensitivity and high image quality with a small-size mechanism using a semiconductor laser in a longer wavelength than visible light, especially in a near infrared region. CONSTITUTION:The image forming material is produced by depositing at least a cushion layer, peeling layer, photosensitive ink layer and peelable cover sheet on a substrate. The photosensitive ink layer contains an addition-polymerizable or crosslinkable compd. and a borate complex of cationic dye. By using this image forming material, images are formed in such processes of carrying and winding, exposure, peeling, sticking, image transfer, image retransfer, post exposure, etc. |
