<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the display contrast of a liquid crystal display device from being varied due to peripheral temperature. CONSTITUTION:This portable terminal equipment has a voltage level setting circuit 4 for obtaining voltage with a set level and a battery 1 for supplying power to a liquid crystal display device 5 through the circuit 4 and a resistor element 6 to be turned to high resistance at a high temperature and turned to low resistance at a low temperature is connected between the circuit 4 and the display device 5. When temperature is increased to high temperature, the resistance of the element 6 is increased and voltage impressed to the display device 5 is reduced, and at a low temperature, the resistance of the element 6 is reduced and voltage impressed to the display device 5 is increased, so that the contrast of the liquid crystal display device can be held almost at a fixed value irrespective of peripheral temperature.</p> |
